| SESSIONS
You spoke - we listened! Based on your feedback, this year's conference will
feature more dynamic content and exciting new session
formats that allow you to tailor your week to fit your needs. Brief descriptions of session options can be
seen below. This page will be
updated as details become available.
Pre-Conference Workshops
For the second year, we will be offering hosted
pre-conference workshops at the ACMP Global Conference.
Sunday, April 1, will feature a workshop "exhibition" with
3-hour sessions held in the afternoon from 1 to 4 PM.
Sessions will be taught by conference sponsors and are
available only to conference attendees (additional fee
required). Attendees must pre-register for workshop
sessions as space is limited.
Keynotes
Each morning will feature a keynote speaker with a unique
perspective on leading change. Making hard change
easier, the science of influence and forecasting the future
all make for engaging presentations.
Experience-Based Tracks
Attendees at the ACMP Global Conference come from varied
backgrounds and level of experience. With this in
mind, 2012 will feature designated tracks for "New to
Change" and
"Experienced" practitioners.
Topic Tracks
We have also broken down sessions into focused topics.
This year's event will feature tracks on "How-to, Best
Practices, Case Studies"; "Emerging Trends, Innovative
Ideas"; and "Industry Specific / Special Interest
Presentations". International presentations
will also be highlighted for more global takeaways.
New Presentation Types
In addition to the standard 50-minute sessions, we have
included 30-minute "short" sessions and 90-minute workshops.
We are also featuring the latest presentation trend - Pecha
Kucha! A unique take on traditional PowerPoint, this
fast-paced style consists of 20 slides in 20 seconds each.
Networking
Throughout the week, we will host special networking
activities and sessions designed to engage attendees and create
connections (speed networking, anyone?). From the Meet
& Greet reception to closing session, you will be surrounded
with organized opportunities to connect with peers. We
dare you to make it through the week without meeting a new
friend!
Small Group Sessions
Sitting through hour after hour of lecture can be tiring for
even the most hardened academician. This is why we
have scattered small group sessions throughout the week.
With a maximum attendance of 50, these sessions offer more
personal conversations and hands-on learning. Get
there early to save your seat!
