Presentation: "The Poker Face of
Change: What a Game of Skill and Luck
Can Teach Us About Change"
When we think about change,
we often focus on the big picture - creating a shared vision
and developing capable sponsors. But sometimes change
effectiveness is about who's around the table and what
they're willing to risk. Somebody at the table who doesn't
know the game but has a big chip pile can be more dangerous
than a masterful player. The table talk can be far less
informative than the "tells". Can you stack the deck in your
favor?
Key Takeaways:
-
Developing stakeholder
risk and resource profiles
-
How to read and interpret
non-verbal behavior
-
The importance of aligned
incentives
-
Creating high-impact
involvement plans
