Presentation:

"Leaders are People First, Targets Second and then Sponsors"

We expect so much of them: the leadership of organizations going through change. We, the change agents, expect them to play the badly needed role of Sponsor. We didn't make up that expectation. It comes from the great need of the employees to see their leadership supporting the change and encouraging their own effort to change.

What we don't always know is how hard it is for leaders to be Sponsors. Why wouldn't they be the outstanding Sponsors we need them to me? What's wrong with them? Let's explore these questions together. Bring your worst Sponsor story with you and we'll see if we can figure out why it happened and if you win the title for having the best example of the worst Sponsor.
