Presentation:

"Ashland's Change Journey"

Twelve years ago, Ashland Inc began a journey of reinvention. During this time period, we divested of billions of dollars of assets and reshaped our core business. Within the past two years, we have purchased billions of dollars of new assets in a down market. While making all these business transactions, Ashland relocated its Corporate Headquarters, implemented two unconnected business group Information Technology systems followed by a global enterprise implementation of a new software system to manage information and support all the business groups. Major change felt like a daily event.

Today, we are integrating our major acquisition one-third our size, streamlining the new company and challenging leadership to rapidly address the local issues faced by a multi-billion dollar global corporation.

Prosci's change management methodology has played a key role in helping make many of the business decisions become reality. Ashland's Change Journey will share successes, failures and the key learning associated with each.
