Biographies:
Donna Brighton
Donna Brighton helps leaders recognize results of change initiatives
more rapidly. Organizations benefit from her unique perspective on
the integration of change and project management though increased
capacity for change. She has worked with executives at Fortune 100,
not-for-profit and small business organizations to increase adoption
and utilization of organizational changes. Donna brings a passion
for assisting organizations realize the full potential of the
resources available through program and portfolio management. She is
skilled in understanding the needs of her clients and helps them
achieve their strategic objectives.
Donna holds a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership from
Geneva College and the Project Management Professional certification
from the Project Management Institute, where she is currently
serving as the Chair of the Ethics Review Committee. She is an
Adjunct Professor at DePaul University, instructing graduate
students in project management. Donna is one of the first recipients
of the Advanced Change Management certification from Prosci.
Ayanna Rice
Ayanna Rice joined the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in
March 2005, and currently works in the Center for Planning and
Analysis in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation as the
Enterprise Project Manager (EPM) Project Manager for the Watts Bar 2
Reactivation Project. As the EPM Project Manager, she is responsible
for planning, developing, implementing and managing an integrated
project schedule with Tennessee Valley Authority to monitor and
report on the overall health of the project, and perform impact
analysis on schedule modifications. Additional projects that Ayanna
has worked on to support NRR's mission include Process Workflow
Modeling, Integrated Project Schedule Development and Project
Management.
Ayanna is a certified Project Management Professional through PMI, a
certified Business Analyst through ESI International, and Change
Manager through Prosci. Prior to joining the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission, Ayanna spent 8 years working for Marriott International
Headquarters in Bethesda, lending her expertise in the areas of
Project Management, Product Management, Business Process
Reengineering, Knowledge Management and Business Continuity.
Beth Feresten
Beth Feresten is a Business Process Analyst with extensive
experience in the creation and delivery of process to enable a more
effective and efficient Project Management Office.
Currently with Oracle (who just acquired Sun Microsystems) in the Information Technology
organization, Beth has lead the effort to improve Change Management
knowledge and understanding for Sun IT Operations by creating and
conducting training and integrating Sun's Change Management process
into the newly created Project Management process. Additional
initiatives include developing a Project Management Framework based
on the PRINCE2 methodology, implementing a time tracking system and
adapting a project life cycle process to align with IT Operations.
Beth holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Bryant
University, an MBA in Marketing from Loyola Marymount University and
is a PRINCE2 certified Practitioner.
Joseph Rafter
As a hybrid business and technology savvy professional, Mr.
Rafter has over 17 years of business alignment experience with
increasing responsibility across a diverse portfolio of business
transformations. He has led large and diverse teams within the
global consulting and outsourcing industry across a wide range of
business domains including the Telecommunications, Government,
Pharmaceutical, Financial Services, Retail, and Automotive
industries. Mr. Rafter's global accomplishments include critical
project delivery and rescue in Germany, Spain, France, United
Kingdom, Japan, & Australia. Mr. Rafter attributes his success to
his ability to learn at the speed of change, build and maintain
meaningful relationships and translate business challenges into
complete solutions that address stakeholders perspectives, solution
simplicity, profit goals, and speed to delivery.
Mr. Rafter currently leads the corporate transformation function for
Yellowbook, a $1.75B marketing and advertising company whose goal is
to provide people with the most complete source of local buying
information through digital and classic media formats. His
frequently shares his thoughts and experiences on business change,
