Presentation:
"Establishing Change Management Competency: Past Lessons
Learned and the Manitoba eHealth Journey"
The movement to establish change management competency within
organizations is progressing but it continues to challenge
organizations as they strive to realize benefits on their change
initiatives. Increasingly, organizations are including change
management resources on projects as a way to achieve identified
benefits.
This presentation considers the establishment of change management
competency within organizations. Both the planned implementation of
the Prosci methodology and sharing of lessons learned from mistakes
made along the way will be highlighted.
The experience of Manitoba eHealth in their initial journey will
be profiled. Manitoba eHealth is a provincial program that works
collaboratively with health care organizations to implement and
support information and communication technology based business
solutions. As part of a larger strategic initiative of implementing
best practice process improvements using the Capability Maturity
Model Integration (CMMI) framework, Manitoba eHealth is currently
building change management competency internally and with contract
employees using the Prosci methodology.
