Presentation:
"Managing Large Scale Change Requires Cultural
Transformation"
A manufacturing site of 900+
employees within Bayer Material Science was tasked with transforming
every aspect of its operation into a more cost effective and
globally competitive organization. Imbedding a change management
philosophy throughout the entire site has not only increased the
success of this initiative compared to previous efforts, but has
actually improved the planned changes themselves. The techniques
used to manage change on this scale include facilitation of
foundational behavior changes. Hear real-life examples of what's
working (and what isn't) to engage employees in the transformation
process, deal with resistance, and to change ingrained behaviors and
attitudes - from the front lines to the corner office. Examples will
also include how the ADKAR model has been used to help employees
manage anxiousness, which can be particularly high during an
economic downturn.
