Presentation:
"The Emotional Side of Change"
The objective of change
management is to create the desired beliefs and behaviors among
specific stakeholders in as little time and with as much energy and
enthusiasm as possible. Change may have many components- technical,
operational, organization- however, change only occurs when people
in fact change the way they think, feel or act. So while figuring
out the operational details, technical designs, reporting lines,
etc. can be a challenge; it will come to naught if people don't
actually enact the required change. People are emotional beings.
Understanding the underlying emotional process people experience
during any change effort can greatly increase one's effectiveness
and decrease stress. We will explain the emotional side of change,
show successful examples of how to address these issues, engage
stakeholders, and share lessons learned over thirty years of global
experience.
