Presentation:
"Next Generation Change Leadership: 'Changing the Way We
Lead Change' "
In 2009, Cisco piloted and launched its Next Generation Change
Leadership Framework. Designed to "Change the Way We Lead", the NGCL
is a closed-loop framework that embeds change leadership behaviors
and change management methodology into each step of a change effort
- from conception to change adoption.
Based on John Kotter's principles of change management in Leading
Change, NGCL not only provides methodology and tools, it focuses on
leadership behaviors to encourage the type of accountability and
ownership that drives acceptance of a change and makes it stick.
Designed by the business for the business, NGCL is an easy-to-use
framework that has transformed project teams - from executive
sponsors to individual contributors - into change leaders.
In our presentation, we will share Cisco's story about creating and
launching NGCL, which has positively impacted Cisco's ability to
successfully navigate both large and small-scale transformational
change.
