"Engaging Sponsors in Change"
In any change effort, the effectiveness of the sponsor can make
or break your project. In this session, you'll learn how to
harness the passion in your sponsor and effectively partner to
execute the change effort. Learn how to bridge the vision of the
sponsor to the tactical plan, including communication, risk
management and milestone delivery strategies. Understand how to
assess and align project, change and sponsor management to
achieve synergy.

Biography:
DeeAnn Palin has nearly twenty years of Leadership and Operations experience.
As Vice President of Strategic Projects & Talent at SCF Arizona, DeeAnn leads
strategic initiatives, Human Resources, Performance Solutions and Organization
Effectiveness. She also manages the Corporate Balanced Scorecard.
During DeeAnn's tenure at SCF, the organization has won the Equality Arizona
Corporation Award in 2008, The Wellness Council of Arizona Process, Progress &
Leadership in Worksite Health Promotion in 2009, and SCF Arizona was chosen as
one of Arizona's Best Places to Work in 2009. SCF Arizona holds nearly $2.5
billion in assets, and is the fourth largest provider of insurance in Arizona.
Ms. Palin is a certified Project Management Professional, and holds a Masters
from the University of Texas at Austin, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational
Communication from Northern Arizona University, and a Thunderbird Global
Leadership MBA Certificate from the American Graduate School of International
Management.
Ms. Palin maintains active membership with several professional associations,
including serving as Board Members of the Northern Arizona University Foundation
and President of the Arizona Chapter of Human Resource Planning Society, AZHREF.
She is also a member of the global Human Resource Planning Society.
Before joining SCF Arizona, Ms. Palin worked as Regional Manager with Target
stores, serving 7000 employees in 70 stores in the south. Prior to that, DeeAnn
had a successful 10-year career with Motorola in which she led business
transformations, including start ups, mergers, shut downs and process
improvement projects. She worked in several roles, from Project Management,
Organization and Leadership Development, Human Resource and Training Management,
to name a few.
DeeAnn shares her experience through public speaking, and specializes in
executive coaching, process improvement and business transformations. DeeAnn has
a passion for working with charitable foundations, and is married to a wonderful
artist, Chris Palin. They look forward to hikes, vacationing and time with their
daughters, Ava and Clare.
