"Five Techniques Used by the House of Representatives to Overcome Change Fatigue"

ERPs, personnel reorganizations and business process change are just a few of the many projects and change initiatives currently taking place at the United States House of Representatives.

The United States House of Representatives, the Legislative Branch of government, is no stranger to change or transition. In fact, it probably endures more changes in leadership than most government agencies as a result of members of the United States Congress serving two-year terms.

Learn five techniques utilized by a unified change management team to overcome change fatigue and reduce stakeholder resistance to achieve desired business results.

 

Biography:

With more than 10 years of diverse consulting experience, coupled with twelve years experience in organizational change, Darlene's knowledge, enthusiasm and understanding of change dynamics has contributed to multiple successful project implementations in federal and state governments, the utilities marketplace and the private sector.

Presently, Darlene is fulfilling a newly created position at the United States House of Representatives as Director of Unified Change Management where she is responsible for implementing a large scale PeopleSoft ERP as well as integrating and coordinating change management tasks and activities for multiple other projects and initiatives within the office of the Chief Administrative Officer.

Prior to joining the United States House of Representatives, Darlene lead a change management team in the over haul of a statewide voter registration system affecting 3.4 million voters.

In December 2007, Prosci recognized Darlene for her contribution to the field of change management.

Darlene, no stranger to multi-tasking, hosted a nationally syndicated radio talk show, was crowned "Mrs. West Virginia" in 2002 and "Mrs. Maryland 2004" all while raising a family. Darlene, a native of Maryland is a graduate of the University of Maryland and married with one son.
