Conference location

When and where is the conference?

The 2011 ACMP Global Conference will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort located in Orlando, Florida. The conference will be held May 1-4, 2011.

What is the cost of attending?

Click on the register link to see conference pricing. There are discounts for early registration and group attendance.

What meals are included?

Your registration fee includes the following meals and events:
Sunday: Pre-dinner Meet & Greet Reception
Monday: Breakfast, Morning Break, Lunch and Afternoon Break
Tuesday: Breakfast, Morning Break, Lunch, Afternoon Break and Networking Dinner
Wednesday: Breakfast and Morning Break

How do I change my registration?

You can call the office at +1 970-203-9332 or email conference@acmp.info anytime if you have questions.

What is your cancellation policy?

The cancellation policy can be seen by scrolling to the bottom of the register page.

My registration says it requires verification. What does this mean and how long will it take?

If you selected Prosci certified as your registrant type, this status must be verified by our office. You will receive a confirmation email from customer service when your registration is verified in one or two days.

When is onsite registration?

You will be able to register or collect your pre-registration packet at the Meet & Greet Reception on Sunday evening, or between 7:30 and 8:00am Monday morning.

What do I need to bring with me to the conference?

Just yourself! Your name badge and registration packet will be received during onsite registration.

Can I register over the phone?

Registrations are accepted online to expedite processing and ensure completeness of the form, please click the register button to begin. If you cannot register via the internet, please call customer service at +1 970-203-9332 for more options.

Can I use a form of payment other than a credit card?

Credit cards are the primary form of payment for the conference. If you cannot pay via credit card, please call +1 970-203-9332.

When should I register?

To ensure your spot at the conference, it is important to register early. Space is very limited and the room availability is also limited. If you register before February 15th, you can save with our early registration pricing.

Can I get a discount for bringing my colleagues?

Yes, you can save $500 per additional attendee if you register more than one person from your company (all attendees must be registered by one person at the same time). This credit is applied during the registration process.

Why are there separate prices for Prosci certified participants?

Prosci certified practitioners have attended a 3-day certification session. Because of this previous investment, these attendees are granted a conference discount.  General attendees will receive a $500 discount voucher toward tuition at a future certification session.

What is the schedule for the conference?

What time does the conference end on Wednesday?

The general conference will end at 12:30pm on Wednesday in order to allow for flights out that afternoon.  This schedule is subject to change.

Hotel and travel

Where is the hotel located?

The Rosen Shingle Creek Resort is located at 9939 Universal Blvd., Orlando, Florida 32819. It is approximately 15 minutes from the airport.

What airport do I fly in to?

The closest airport is Orlando International Airport (airport code MCO).

How do I book a hotel room?

There is a reserved room block for conference attendees at Rosen Shingle Creek with a group rate. These rooms are limited, so we recommend making your reservations well in advance. You can make reservations by calling 866-996-6338 (please mention you are attending the ACMP Global Conference to receive the discounted rate).

Do I have to stay at the hotel?

While it is recommended due to the proximity to the conference and special events that will take place, it is not a requirement to book a room at the resort.

What is the cost of the hotel room?

The negotiated standard room rate for the Rosen Shingle Creek is $149.00 per night. This rate is also available on a limited basis for three days before and after the conference if you decide to extend your vacation and enjoy all that Orlando has to offer.  There are also a limited number of rooms at the per diem rate for government attendees - please ask about availability when you call to book.

What is there to do onsite?

The Rosen Shingle Creek has plenty of amenities to keep you busy during free time. They have multiple outdoor pools, a beautiful spa and fitness club and many restaurants. Learn more on their website: www.rosenshinglecreek.com.

Are there restaurants onsite?

Will I have internet access?

Internet access is available in your hotel room at the discounted rate of $20 for the duration of your stay.

What are my transportation options?

Taxis and rental cars can be picked up at the airport for the short drive to the hotel.

Is there parking if I'm not staying at the hotel?

Valet (fees apply) and self-parking (complimentary for conference attendees) options are available.

What is checkout time? Will I have to miss a morning session to checkout?

Hotel checkout time is 11 o'clock, late checkouts may be offered based on availability. You may check out and store luggage with the front desk for the rest of Wednesday's sessions or take advantage of the discounted BAGS service to have your luggage shipped directly to the airport.

Presentations/paper submittals

How can I speak at the conference?

We are no longer accepting applications for presentations.  Please visit our Speakers page for information on presenters at the 2011 ACMP Global Conference.

How do I submit a paper for consideration?

We are now accepting paper submissions to be published as part of the conference proceedings.  Please visit the Papers page for more information.

What topics are you requesting speakers for?

Topics of interest for this conference cover many areas of change management and can be seen on our Speakers page.

When do I find out if my speaker submittal was accepted?

All presentation submissions are due by November 30, 2010. Selected submissions will be contacted by January. If you plan to attend the conference even if not selected, please register before this date. There are a limited number of spaces, so you will want to make sure you have a reservation. If you are selected as a speaker, you will receive a refund of your registration fee.

Can my family come with me?

Your guests are welcome to stay with you at the hotel. There are plenty of activities and amenities in the area to keep them busy while you are enjoying the conference.

How can I become Prosci certified?

Prosci certification is a 3-day training program held at various locations across the U.S. and Canada. There are several classes held each month. More information on this training can be seen on our website: http://www.change-management.com/change-management-training.htm.

What should I wear?

We want you to be comfortable - business casual is perfect for springtime in Orlando!
